This is a custom wordmark logo I developed for an imaginary client, a writing assistant app. I wanted the wordmark and colors to convey a sense of dynamism, expertise, and creativity. I also wanted the logo to feel a bit vintage and to reference typewriters, which would serve as a subtle reminder of the human error involved in writing processes. I accomplished this vintage, typewriter-like quality by adapting a serif font, called Jubilat. The colors I chose represent the CMYK color used in printing processes, because a main purpose of the writing app is to ensure a composition is revised adequately before being finalized through printing.
Pet Salon Logo
For this logo, I wanted to create a minimal yet illustrative symbol that conveys the playfulness and joy pets bring to our lives. The softness of the icon’s edges expresses to the salon’s audience that their pet will be treated with gentleness and kindness. The profile outline of the dog figure exhibits it in a confident pose with their snout pointing upwards. This indicates that, while visiting the salon, your pet will have a positive experience in which their high-spirits and sense of security are maintained.
This logo symbol depicts a nuanced floral figure. The bottom leaf-like element was modeled to resemble a trowel, aiming downward as if digging into the ground. The negative space within this element was intended to imply both a stem to the flower figure floating above as well as a handle for the cultivator tool positioned at the flower’s center. The cultivator tool symbol, also implied through use of negative space, has additional meaning as it mimics the anatomy of flowers (such as lilies) that have stem bulbils. The cultivator tool symbol has four prongs to represent the four seasons for which the company manages your lawn care. The combination of sharp and round edges throughout the composition achieves balance and unity, qualities that customers of the service would expect from the company’s landscaping design results. The weight of the solid fill and color values indicate boldness and strength, which communicates the brand’s credibility in elevating exterior spaces.

The diamond motifs of this abstract logo concept symbolizes light reflecting off a shiny surface. The contrast in line weight creates dynamism and implies an energetic brand personality in harmony with perfect and speedy service. The curves included in the design were inspired by soap bubbles and suds. The thinner side of the shape’s outline, positioned on the top left, is intended to represent the businesses open door policy, meaning walk-ins are welcome. The negative space in the center diamond serves to divide the shape so that the right half resembles an arrow. This again reflects the speediness of the service and implies that visitors will be guaranteed a timely departure so that they can resume their busy days.
