PROJECT FEEDBACK The feedback I’ve received on the magazine reflects its unique character and recognizes the eccentric yet effective incorporation of diverse design elements into a cohesive style.

PROJECT OUTCOMES

The content and design of the magazine has been well developed and of professional quality. The images are reflective of technical skills and are impactful and harmonious with the content of the essays. The design application demonstrates diversity while also developing connections throughout the project’s entirety.

Time Commitment- This project was mostly developed over a span of 12 weeks. I would guess that the production stage took approximately 170 hours to complete. In hindsight, the preproduction stage could have benefitted by stricter adherence to deadlines, as the writing composition of the essays bled over into the production stage and delayed progress. Also, a longer duration within the post-production stage could have benefitted the project greatly by allowing further “polishing” and clarification for the communication purpose.

Student Outcomes- This project allowed me to practice applying digital illustrations and photography to a text-heavy platform. I also learned more about my creative process, as I found more success with approaching design with minimalism and compartmentalization in mind, as well as when I allowed myself to plan layouts with good old-fashioned pencil and paper.
