COMPOSITION

I composed this song when I was prompted by an audio assignment to create a musical score to be used in film. Music composed for a film score needs to communicate some kind of tone or emotion without infringing upon or getting in the way of the story being told. I really enjoyed this project, because I am an out-of-practice musician. It was cathartic to break out my instruments again as well as to develop some new skills by playing around with the virtual instruments in the GarageBand software. When I listen to this piece, I can imagine the rainy and romantic scene that would unfold on screen.
